My much loved and cherished Esprit finally has to go. I have had this car since Jan 03 and have loved it and lavished much care and cash on it. It has be maintained regardless of cost and has full Lotus Service history, it is in truly superb condition.

It has 59,500 miles on the clock, a long MOT and tax.

The car is HPI clear and has a Thatcham CAT1 Alarm. It is a lovely colour (Azure blue) which has a slight hint of purple in it and the interior is in magnolia leather, the car is a real head turner and will really get you noticed!

Engine Rebuild History
In august 2005 during a very long, (very) high speed journey 2 badly clogged injectors caused some lean-running damage to 2 of the pistons.

On stripping the engine down I decided upon a full rebuild using genuine Lotus parts to bring the engine back up to perfect condition (as opposed to merely changing the failed parts), the total bill for this rebuild was in excess of £8000. I knew this would mean a huge bill and I would never get this cost back, however it was worth it for my own peace of mind and because a car like this deserves no less.

Miles and Ian at Fibreglass Services did all the work and know the car very well and are happy to vouch for its condition.
The engine rebuild was completed late 2005 and I then ran it in at no more than 3000rpm for 1000 miles, then Miles changed the oil and filter. From then on I have gradually increased the revs as per Lotus’ instructions.

Since the rebuild the car has preformed perfectly for 5000 miles, the engine starts on the merest touch of the ignition key and is extremely smooth throughout the rev range and performs flawlessly like the true supercar it is.

Unfortunately despite all my efforts to keep the car and settle my finances, it is just too much for me and so I have to part company with my dream car. At least I have had a dream come true!!
